Does Apply with AI send proposals or messages for me?
No. It only helps create and insert text. You review, edit, and manually click the final Upwork submit or send control every time.
How do I install it without the Chrome Web Store?
Download the protected ZIP from your account, extract it to a permanent folder, enable Developer mode on Chrome’s extensions page, and choose Load unpacked. The account includes a step-by-step guide.
Does the extension update automatically?
No. Because it is installed in Developer mode, Apply with AI alerts you when an approved release is available. You download it, replace the files in the same permanent folder, and reload the extension manually.
Do I need separate AI access?
Yes. The subscription covers Apply with AI, not model usage. Claude and ChatGPT subscription connections are experimental and may break; an Anthropic API key is the fallback. Credentials stay on your device.
